The Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) was established in 1969
to manufacture vehicles for the Chinese military.
Originally named Second Automobile Works Co. it has grown
steadily to become China's second most productive vehicle
manufacturer. It currently builds passenger and commercial vehicles, engines, parts & components
and has partnerships with Nissan, Honda, Kia Motors and PSA Peugeot
Citroen.
The Dongfeng parent group employs 121,000 people with an
annual production in the range of 1.2 million dollars.
The Chonqqing Yuan Group was established in 2003
specialising in light trucks, motorcycles and cars. It also
is a top producer of shock absorbers and has a production
capacity of over 6 million units annually. The group
currently employs 7000 skilled employees and has been highly
successful with the Mini Truck range, exporting to over 60
countries including Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Sweden,
Finland, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Check Republic, Ukraine,
Lituania, Croatia and more.
